The ship has all of the brand’s classic amenities, like the RedFrog Rum Bar and Punchliner Comedy Club, plus an array of dining options, including sushi, pizza, ice cream, and an over-the-top brunch. During my recent sailing, I found all the Carnival classics, like the Alchemy Bar and Guy’s Burger Joint, a thrilling ropes course, dive-in movies, and plenty of themed deck parties. Rent cabanas or lounge in the ocean-view whirlpools at Loft 19, where attentive staff take care of everything, like delivering you fruit and chilled towels. My favorite spot to hang out was the aft Patio Pool because it wasn't ever super crowded, and the view of the ocean was unmatched. The ocean suite gives you plenteous ocean views, while the junior suite gives you a smaller space, but still all the VIP services that suite guests enjoy during a Carnival Dream cruise.
Cove Balcony
This new hull design is being rolled out on all the ships in the Carnival fleet, following its introduction on Mardi Gras. Branded Dr. Seuss activities include a once-per-sailing Seuss-a-Palooza Parade that winds its way from the Deck 5 Burgundy Lounge down to the Deck 3 level of the Encore theater. The Cat in the Hat and Things 1 and 2 also make an appearance at the once-per-sailing Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast (see For-Fee Dining). Two meeting rooms, collectively known as the Chambers can be found on Deck 4, and the Future Cruise Sales Desk can be found on Deck 5, aft. The art gallery is also located aft on Deck 5, next to the Caliente nightclub. You'll find two near the Sunset Pool, two in the adults-only Serenity area, four on the outdoor Lanai Deck (Deck 5, two portside, two starboard side) and two on Deck 11, midship.
Oceanview (6L)
These suites offer loads of space and priority service that goes above and beyond what you’ll get anywhere else on the ship. Similarly, the porthole interiors staterooms don’t offer much in the way of views, but the extra natural light is welcomed. Interior staterooms are further broken down into Cloud 9 Spa interior staterooms, interior rooms with walkway views and interior rooms with portholes. Carnival Dream's two-deck Cloud 9 Spa (Decks 12 and 14) is 23,750 square feet of space dedicated to pampering, relaxation and fitness. At the spa, you'll find the usual array of treatments from massages (Swedish, bamboo, Thai poultice, hot stone) and facials (tri-enzyme, hydralift, microdermabrasion) to wraps, scrubs and ionithermie detox sessions.
Where does Carnival Dream sail from?
Even though you’re on vacation, you won’t have to settle for anything less than the salon style you’re used to back on land. And these good looks go beyond the usual — we even offer services like teeth whitening… great for taking those ‘I’m on vacation and I’m looking great! The best way to fill your day on shore is to explore our vacation destination's hot spots.
The ship is popular with groups, including family reunions and wedding parties. The 2009-built Carnival Dream cruise ship is one of the Carnival fleet's largest and the first Dream-class vessel, together with Breeze and Magic as well as Costa Diadema. All ages enjoy the gaming action the Video Arcade, which is open 24 hours a day. And for the youngest passengers we have our Seuss At Sea programs inspired by the colorful, whimsical world of Dr. Seuss. Often cruise lines offer special rates that cannot be displayed to the general public. By registering with Cruise.com you will be able to view these special rates and offers.
Runners and walkers will appreciate the jogging track on Deck 12, which is a bit larger than many others you'd find on a ship; seven times around is 1 mile. The Lanai Deck (Deck 5) also has a walkway (jogging is not permitted); 2.5 laps equal 1 mile. Ping-Pong is available on Deck 11, forward, just above RedFrog Rum Bar. There's not a lot of open deck space, but that doesn't stop anyone from dancing.

However, it’s worth noting that some of the ocean view staterooms don’t offer views that are all that much larger than what you might get with one of the interior rooms that technically have a window. A Cloud 9 Spa Suite is the ultimate in both stateroom and spa accommodations. There's room for you and your things - with a large room and balcony - and a walk-in closet.
Built in 2009, the Carnival Dream cruise ship weighs 130K tons and has 1823 staterooms for up to 4558 passengers served by 1369 crew. You can expect a space ratio of 29 gross tons per passenger on this ship. On this page are the current deck plans for Carnival Dream showing deck plan layouts, public venues and all the types of cabins including pictures and videos. Waves, the main pool located on Deck 10, is one of the biggest social hot spots on Dream.

Add to this all the great dining and drinking options, and it’s clear that there’s no dreamier way to take a vacation. Family-friendly throughout, Carnival Dream offers Camp Ocean, where kids ages 2 to 11 are kept busy with lots of fun ocean-themed activities and entertainment designed just for them according to age. "Seuss at Sea" and the character parade will give ear to ear smiles. Click deck pictures to go to individual cruise deck plan pages where you can see all the public areas, venues and stateroom cabins categories for each deck. Think nightly dance parties in White Heat Dance Club, movies under the stars on the pool deck, and tacos from BlueIguana Cantina.
On Carnival Dream were introduced the fleet's new categories "Deluxe Oceanview", "Cove Balcony" and "Cloud 9 Spa" cabins. Carnival Dream also features the borderline-magical Alchemy Bar® and Ocean Plaza, which combines tasty treats with perhaps even tastier entertainment. Entertainment options are all up and down the ship, and so is soaking-wet fun, from the heart-racing waterslide action at Carnival WaterWorks™ to the soul-soothing Thalassotherapy pool at the Cloud 9 Spa™. With all the unforgettable indoor and outdoor fun, entertainment, cool drinks and relaxation time, you’re sure to work up a big appetite while cruising on Carnival Dream.
Dream and its two sister ships introduced several of the line's most exciting top-deck attractions, including the SkyCourse ropes course and 4D Thrill Theater. At night, the fun continues, with dance parties on the deck and movies by the pool. Like all of the above staterooms categories, the balcony staterooms can be further broken down into subcategories, including a Cloud 9 Spa balcony stateroom, Premium Vista balcony staterooms, etcetera. We've got everything you need to know about the Carnival Dream cruise ship with an overview and all the things to do onboard.
In addition to twin beds that convert to king-sized, the cabin has two bunk beds and a sofa bed. What's interesting about these 193 oceanview staterooms is the bathroom configuration.Like the family cabins on the Disney Cruise Line ships, the Carnival Dream family quint cabins have two baths. One is a full bathroom (sink, toilet, shower), and the second bath has a junior tub, shower, and sink.
Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is permitted outside in a designated area on Deck 5 (port side); on Deck 11 (starboard, midship and aft); inside in the Caliente Nightclub; and at the Jackpot Casino bar and floor (port side). Carnival Dream is jam-packed with stuff to do during the day, even on port days. You'll find equal amounts of fun outside on the Lido Deck, near the main swimming pool, as well as inside (usually centered on the Deck 3 atrium or Deck 5 Ocean Plaza). Take a look at this photo gallery to help you envision your perfect vacation. A huge chunk of the passengers on Carnival Dream drive to their cruise from states all over the southern United States. Ages run the gamut from kids (lots of 'em in the summer!) to folks in their 60s and 70s, though the average age is usually somewhere in the mid-30s to mid-40s.
The adults-only Serenity retreat offers lots of sun deck space on Decks 14 and 15, forward. Here you'll find blue loungers, wicker clam shells, armchairs and beds, plus hammocks sized for two. The Serenity space is always open, but you'll only find crew there from 11 a.m. For cruisers looking for more active outdoor activities, there are a few options on Carnival Dream, including a half-court basketball and volleyball court on Deck 14 (aft) and a large 18-hole mini-golf course on Deck 12.
With two to nine-day cruises from Tampa to the Caribbean and the Bahamas, Carnival Paradise literally takes cruisers to paradise islands. The ship brims with fun amenities like the WaterWorks splash zone and the relaxing Cloud 9 Spa. Carnival Conquest takes cruisers to the Bahamas and the Caribbean on two to 10-day sailings. Special programs allow kids to see their favorite Dr. Seuss characters at sea, and adults can enjoy the enticing Alchemy Bar for one-of-a-kind cocktails. Carnival Breeze is ideal for a short cruise out of Galveston, Texas.
These refurbishments brought new restaurants and entertainment spaces to the ship. The most recent, 2021 refurbishment updated the ship’s hull art and created a new, non-smoking casino and casino bar. Circle C is the kids club geared toward those ages 12 to 14, and it offers a blend of both that programming that appeals to younger kids who need to be kept entertained, as well as the freedom that older teens prefer. Think parties and movie showings, but also opportunities to just kick back and enjoy some games with a newfound friend.
